With Halloween literally right around the corner… tomorrow! new movies have been popping up everywhere. The release of the new Halloween movie came out the 19th and was a good slasher, where Michael Myers finally escapes after 40 years of captivity and goes back after Laurie Strode from 40 years prior. If you remember the Stephan King novel IT first came out in 1990, where a creepy killer clown Pennywise played by Tim Curry feeds off children fear and kills them had a remake that came out in 2017.  Now we have word that on September 6th, 2019 IT chapter 2 will be coming out and is the run-on of the movie made in 2017. The movie will have the kids all grown up and pennywise returning 27 years later… Pennywise returns every 27 years because the first IT movie in 1990 is 27 years apart of the movie made in 2017.

The Movie Pet Semetary made by Stephen King in 1989 was a movie about a pet cemetery that comes to life after a cat dies and is buried there. The cat comes back to life as a meaner and demonic cat, much different as it was before which was a friendly cat. Louis’ one of the characters son (gage) dies tragically and is buried in the same ground as the cat did. The kid comes back as a killer kid who murders his family members. They are making a remake of the movie that is said to drop on the 5th of April in 2019. The movie takes place in rural Maine and is about Dr. Louis’ Creed finding a secret burial deep in the woods near their new home.

Z Nation is that one show that kinda starts off slow and gets more interesting the more you watch it. When I first started to watch the show it had 3 seasons, so I figured it would be a decent show. The first episode was pretty bad considering it was all basically green screened and had terrible CGI scenes, against my mind telling me not to watch the show I was in the zombie show/movie mood after watching some of the best moments from the Walking Dead on YouTube. So I watched the 2nd episode and it wasn’t that bad so I continued to watch. The first 5-6 episodes were iffy and still needed work… and I don’t know if they changed the producer or something but the show started to become really enjoyable to watch. The lines that the actors were saying started to intrigue me and the scenes as well started to get better and more action-packed.

They met this kid who had an amazing shot with a sniper rifle and counted everytime he killed a zombie, His name is (10k). They have a character named (Murphy) that is apparently immune to the virus because of a test he had done on him before the apocalypse outbreak started and something happens with his skin that I can’t tell you about. They also have some comedy within the show with the Character (Doc) who knows maybe a little too much about drugs and medicine, but in a time of a medic he comes to the rescue, hence the name Doc. And lastly they have a hot Russian girl named addy, she is kinda like the girl version of the Governor from the Walking Dead but is much nicer, and doesn’t go, rogue,.  Now that you have met most of the Characters join Murphy, Doc, 10k and Addy led by Lt. Warren as they try to reach a safe haven within the Zombie apocalypse.

For all the people who didn’t know what eSports was, eSports is a professional gaming platform for the best of the best in games like CSGO, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Halo and now Fortnite. eSports is also called MLG or Major League Gaming,  teams compete for prizes as big as 1 million dollars in small stadiums throughout the U.S and sometimes in the U.K. Some of the biggest eSports names in the biz are Optic, Faze, TSM, Cloud 9, Splyce, and now a big team on the rise is Team Liquid. These teams have made names for themselves because they have won many tournaments and have been around for a while… except Team Liquid.

With Fortnite crushing all video game records its no doubt that Fortnite will be appearing on the big stage very soon, they already have their own “show” Summer Skirmish that has an estimated 500 million views so far. with players such as Ninja, Tfue, and CDNthe3rd people from all over can come and watch their favorite internet Personalities live. In other news, a team named 100 Thieves led by former professional Call of Duty gamer of Optic Gaming NadeShot and big artists like Drake and I believe Travis Scott have bought many shares in eSports. And to be completely honest they are making a great investment because gaming is on the rise and will probably make more of an impact on the younger kids.

The new Halloween movie looks absolutely amazing and I hope that it is a good movie considering the ratings for the trailer are really good. The trailer has also gotten over 22.4 million views within the 4 months it’s been out. Halloween was originally a hit movie back in 1978 created/produced by John Carpenter and co-written by Debra Hill. The movie’s plot took place in Haddonfield Illinois and was about 6-year-old Micheal Myers brutally murdering his 17-year-old sister Judith in 1963, but when getting transferred for a court date on October 30th, 1978 21-year old Micheal Myers steals a car and escapes, when he finally comes back into his hometown he sets his sights on new victims. The 2018 version will be hitting theaters this Friday 10/19 and will be picking up where it left off so long ago. Kinda like Stephan King’s IT, that was also a good movie. The new Halloween movie will be about Micheal Myers trying to kill a woman named Laurie Strode after she was able to escape 40 years earlier. The cast of the movie brings back some of the original actors from the 1978 Halloween movie such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle. I think the coolest thing about this movie is not only getting people into the Halloween spirit but also the actors that played in the 1978 Halloween and this new one in 2018 have aged over time just like the characters they are playing which fits perfectly into the theme of this movie.

Last night was the opening night for the 2018-19 NBA season, as you know many teams made some trades to try and get the edge on their opponents. The Lakers got LeBron James aka Lebron Jams, Rajon Rondo aka I can’t see over anybody and suck at defense, and JaVale McGee aka hows the weather down there. The Spurs also have gotten rid of their best defensive player for an ok offensive player Demar Derozen. So in my mind, the Raptors got the better end of the deal because they have Kyle Lowery and Kawhi Leonard now. Anyway, opening night consisted of two games the 76ers vs the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors vs the Oklahoma City Thunder. The games went as you probably expected with the Celtics winning 105-87 and the Warriors winning 108-100 over the Thunder.

The main scorers for the Celtics were Jason Tatum with 23pts and 9 reb and Marcus Morris with 16 pts and 10 reb. For the 76ers it was Joel Embiid with 23 pts, 10 reb, and Ben Simmons with 19 pts, 15 rebounds and 8 ast. for the other two teams OKC top scorers were Paul George with 27 pts and Steven Adams with 17 pts and 11 reb. And as you probably know Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant blew the Competition away by scoring 61 points combined which i’m pretty sure is more that half theit teams points. Stephen Curry shot 11 out of 20 from the field and made 5 3-pointers giving him 32 points on the night. With Kevin Durrant shooting lights out from mid-range he scored 27 points and put a number on every stat, with 1 OREB 7 DREB 8 Assists 1 STL and 1 Block, but he did have 3 turnovers. So that is what happened last night on opening night.

Now before I go into depth with this blog I don’t have a favorite baseball team. I don’t really care who wins the Baseball championship, NBA Championship, or the Stanley Cup all I care about is the Saints winning that Lombard Trophy in football… that’s it. Do I wish the Yankees would have beaten the Red Sox, yes because mostly everybody I know who likes baseball is a Yankees fan… but again I don’t care that much. The first game was on Friday 10/5 and the Red Sox ended up pulling off the victory 5-4. The Yankees were starting to make that comeback but just couldn’t finish it. Game 2 was played on Saturday 10/6. The Yankees came out firing and took an early lead the Red Sox had some trouble hitting the ball that night and even had some defensive errors allowing the Yankees to tie the series at a game a piece by winning 6-2. The 3rd game took place in Yankee stadium and was OMG I really don’t want to talk about it, I mean 16-1 on your own home field really? anyways Boston came ready as they got 1 run in the 2nd inning 2 in the 3rd and 7!!… 7 runs in the 4th. And in the 4th Yankees would score their only run and were down 10-1. First of all, if I was a fan that was hoping to see a good PLAYOFF game at Yankee Stadium and that happened I would want my money back, and second of all that shouldn’t happen in a PLAYOFF game. The Red Sox were up in the series 2-1 and the last game was again at Yankee Stadium… Red Sox would score 3 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th putting them up 4-0 But yet again Yankees would rally and stop the Red Sox from scoring any more in the game. The Yankees would score 1 in the 5th and 2 in the 9th. But would lose 4-3. The Yankees are headed home and the Red Sox will play the Astros Saturday the 13th.

OMG, I was so excited when I heard that Big Mouth was coming out with a 2nd season on October 5th. The show is about young kids 13-15 going through puberty and what the mental and physical process is. The show is like a Family Guy or an American Dad it has A LOT of adult humor, inappropriate scenes, nudity and swearing so Parents don’t fall for “its a cartoon mom” and Kids don’t watch it if you are not at least 16 years or older… And DON’T watch the show with your parents. Nick, Andrew, Missy, Jay, and Jessi. are young kids experiencing new things with their bodies, Nick has an old and wrinkly “Hormone monster” that in the show will tell them what to do when they see something with a girl (it’s basically their inner thoughts) Nick doesn’t like his hormone monster because Nick is smaller than all the rest of his friends and has just started growing hair… and to add onto the fact his hormone monster is the same as his weird gym coach and sex ed teacher who has never had sex and doesn’t know anything about sex (Coach Steve)… Btw he is like 50. Andrew is Nicks best Friend and has a normal Hormone Monster (Moriesse) but although Moriesse is more normal than nicks hormone monster Moriesse is not that intelligent and is pretty dumb telling Andrew everything wrong to do. Jessi also has a Hormone Monster (Connie) who is kinda like Moriesse, in fact, Connie and Moriesse know one another but Connie has more self-control. This also makes me think if in season 3 we will see Jay’s or Missy’s Hormone monster considering they don’t have one yet. What do you think?

Missy is a nerdy girl who is polite and loves school, she also has alittle crush on Andrew but mostly keeps to herself, Missy doesn’t have a hormone monster like I said, and she gets embarrassed about her body until a certain person helps her out??? And lastly Jay. Probably one of my favorite characters, he ends up dating Jessi and they do something together that gets their parents worried. He also has this weird thing with pillows so yeah like I said parents and kids be cautious. That’s all I got to say about that. But Jay is the funniest of the group who has a mother who doesn’t really care what he does and a father who is always on business trips leaving his mother free to cheat on her husband. The show is really funny and I’m halfway through the 2nd season. Unfortunately, there are only 10 episodes and each episode is only 25-30 min. In my opinion, the episodes need to be longer but it might be harder to create a story-line with them being that long.

Venom is one of those movies where you just have to go and watch it… there has been way too many spider-man movies, x men movies, iron man movies and a combination of superhero movies that finally Venom is getting some spotlight. Just recently Black Panther got its big movie that was great and Aquaman finally got his movie and he has another one coming out in the future. So like I said Venom has finally came out with its own movie… how? I really don’t know considering Venom has been in the comics forever and was in Spiderman 3 when Toby Maguire was spider-man for god sakes. The cast for the new Venom movie is Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny State.

The movie came out last night on the 5th and already has racked in 10 million in revenue, and also to point out critics are wondering why the movie is a PG-13 rating because Tom Hardy even said in an interview “The movie is an action-packed movie with violence… I don’t know how isn’t rated R” There are some pros and cons to that. Younger kids can go watch the movie possibly bringing in more money, and the con could be that villain movies might be changed forever because villain movies are usually violent while the superhero movies are just full of kick but action with no blood or death.

Tonight is the opening night for the NHL. Some games to look forward too is the Canadiens vs the Maple Leafs, Flames vs Canucks, and Bruins vs Capitals. I believe the Maple Leafs, Flames and Bruins will win tonight. But the game I’m looking forward to tomorrow is when Zach Boychuk and the Hurricanes face off against the Islanders. More games are to come with the defending champs (Capitals) playing the Pittsburg Penguins tomorrow night… (27 hours later) the opening night for the NHL is in the books with the Maple Leafs beating the Canadiens 3-2 Capitals beating Bruins 7-0… I really don’t know how? and the Flames losing to the Canucks 5-2. So I had 1 right prediction and 2 wrong predictions… but don’t forget Hurricanes play Islanders tonight at 7pm which should be a good game.

Also, I’m going, to be honest, I used to watch hockey a lot because of my dad’s old girlfriends kids who played hockey and watched it a lot. But i haven’t watched a game of hockey in so long (5 years) that there are like 11 new teams to me. Panthers, Senators, Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Avalanche, Stars, Jets, Predators, Canucks, Coyotes, and the Golden Knights.

In one of my last blogs, I talked about the wildcard races for the NL in the MLB. There were only 5 games left in the regular season and for the NL Central and the NL West, there was a little surprise in store. For the NL Central, two teams were fighting for their spot the Brewers and Cubs faced off in an extra game because their records both stood at 95-67 so whoever won would secure there spot in the playoffs and clinch the divisional championship. The Brewers scored a run in the 3rd and the Cubs scored 1 in the 5th. The game would stay tied until the 8th when the Brewers would score 2 runs and keep the Cubs at 1. The Brewers would go on to win 3-1. In the NL West, the Dodgers would face off against the Rockies because yet again their records were tied at 91-71. The Dodgers would win 5-2 by scoring 2 runs in the 4th 2 in the 5th and 1 in the 6th while keeping the Rockies at 2 runs.

And last night Oct. 2 the Rockies would face off against the Cubs in the NL wildcard. The pitching was solid the entire game except for the first inning when the Rockies would get a quick score in the top of the 1st and then the Cubs would score late in the 8th and would send the game into extra innings. The Rockies would win in the 13th on Wolter’s go-ahead run. Recap: In the NL Central the Brewers beat the Cubs 3-1, in the NL West the Dodgers beat the Rockies 5-2 and in the wildcard, the Rockies would go on to beat the Cubs in a close game 2-1 in the 13th inning.
